One of the most important things about believing in something is to know what it is that you believe in. None of us like being asked the question, “Why?” only to answer, “I don’t know.”
When asking someone in a relationship, “What do you love about him/her?” you don’t often hear, “I don’t know.” We often hear answers that come from what they have experienced by spending time with their person, having conversations, watching how they interact and respond to their world.
I saw a quote by a fellow writer, Gail Carson Levine, which said, “In books and in life, you need to read several pages before someone’s true character is revealed.” I think this quote is true of the Bible as well as of God.
So join me as we spend time with God, have conversations, and watch how he interacts with the world. Let’s read more than a few pages of his love letter, quote more than a few of his sayings and find out who he really is.
